Appointment to the Planning Commission, City of Vergennes –
2 Openings for terms expiring August 1, 2022.
1 Opening for a term expiring August 1, 2023.
The Planning Commission is actively engaged in developing the City’s eight-year Municipal Development Plan, the City’s Zoning and Subdivision Regulations, and any other duties and responsibilities assigned by the City Council. As part of that, we help assess and develop the community’s vision for the future of the City of Vergennes as well as the best ways to achieve that vision. Commission members (appointed by the City Council) are expected to attend the commission’s monthly meeting, currently held on the first Monday of each month at 7:00 pm, as well as participate in public hearings and forums. A successful member will engage in a positive manner and constructively collaborate with other members to reach consensus on our shared goals.
