CITY CLERK, City of Vergennes

Join the City of Vergennes’ leadership team as our City Clerk and serve our 2,500 residents.
You’ll report to the City Manager and work collaboratively in a team environment with the City Manager, City Treasurer and Administrative Assistant. Salary is $65,000.  We offer a competitive benefits package!

Our City Clerk is responsible for recording and preserving the City’s public records as outlined in the City Charter and Vermont State Statute. This includes but is not limited to actions and agendas of the City Council, serving as Clerk of the Board of the Civil Authority, maintaining land records, minutes, permits, plats, vital records, licenses, tax information, and managing all election activities and records. This position also supports the general administrative and customer service function of the office.

PATROL OFFICER, VERGENNES POLICE DEPARTMENT 
The Vergennes Police Department is seeking highly motivated and dedicated individuals to join our team as a Police Officer.  Salary is commensurate with experience. Our community-oriented department strongly emphasizes community policing and building positive relationships with citizens.
