Come out and vote on March 1, 2016

Come out and vote on Tuesday, March 1, 2016. Voting by Australian ballot will take place at the Vergennes Fire Station at 50 Green Street from 9am until 7pm. The Warning for the Annual City Meeting provides a preview of the questions on the ballot.

The deadline to register to vote and have your name added to the City’s voter checklist is Wednesday, February 24 at 5pm. You may register at the City Hall (120 Main Street) in person, or register online at Vermont’s My Voter site. You also may request your absentee ballots at this site.

Absentee ballots are available now.  You may stop in and vote at City Hall, or you may pick up the ballots and take them with you. You also may call the City Clerk’s office (802-877-2841) to request that ballots be mailed to you. At the time of the request for absentee ballots, you must clarify which Presidential Primary ballot you would like (Democratic or Republican). The deadline to request and vote absentee is February 29th, at 4:30pm.

Please call us at 802-877-2841 if you have any questions.
