Special Election Recount Results

The Special Election Recount for the Alderman Term Expiring March 2, 2021 took place September 25, 2020. The recount resulted in a tie between Alderman candidates Mel Hawley and David Small. Per 17 V.S.A. § 2682b, when there is a tie between two candidates, a runoff election will be held, unless one of the candidates withdraws within 5 days of the election. The warning for the runoff election will be posted within the next seven days.
