Main Street Construction Update
Planned construction activities, week of 7/20: Please note that the construction schedule is subject to change due to any of a number of factors. The contractor attempts to adhere as closely as possible to the schedule each week).
All work in Vergennes for the week of 7/20 will be completed during daytime work hours, typically 7:00 AM-7:00 PM
A large percentage of sidewalk work has been completed throughout the project. Any areas that still remain to be completed require other items to be finished first prior to pouring these few remaining panel sections.
Crews will continue to clean up sidewalk areas and place topsoil where necessary.
Installation of new traffic signs is scheduled to begin on Monday and continue for the entire week. This work will take a few weeks to complete.
Crews will be working on adjusting storm drains Monday through Wednesday next week.
A crew will work on digging and pouring the foundation for the rapid flash beacon to be installed at the crosswalk by the town hall. This work will begin mid to late morning and take several hours to complete.
