Main Street Resurfacing Update

The contractor will be onsite tomorrow (6/5) to finish milling side roads north of East Street.

Crews will begin trimming up the sides of the road where small areas of asphalt remain that the milling machine was not able to remove. Trimming on Green Street may potentially begin on Friday. Once trimming work on Green St. has been completed, crews will move to the south end of the project. Mid- to late week next week, trimming operations are scheduled to move to the north end of the project. These are the day work areas outside of the downtown night work limits.

Berm removal on the south end of the project (south of the bridge) will continue next week.

Crews are scheduled to back fill and clean up new sidewalk areas on Green Street.

On Tuesday, 6/9 sub-contractor ECI is scheduled to complete conduit installation on Green Street located near the intersection of Green Street and 22A. A short road closure between 22A and School Street will be in effect while this work is taking place.

PAVING:

Paving of the leveling course of asphalt is currently scheduled to begin on Green Street on Wednesday, 6/10. Once paving on Green Street has been completed, the contractor will mobilize to the north end of the project. Paving of the northern end of the project should take approximately 2 days.

Once paving on the northern end of 22A has been completed, paving operations will move to the south end of the project. Paving will continue for the remainder of the week.

Temporary line striping will follow paving operations. All paving work will be completed in the day work limits.

Paving operations are dependent on weather and surface conditions and inclement weather can alter the paving schedule.

Traffic Impacts:

Please expect alternating one way traffic in the vicinity of the active construction operations, including milling/trimming, berm removal, sidewalk work and paving operations. Traffic control personnel will be onsite helping to direct the flow of traffic. Expect delays and add extra time to your travel plans.
