The City treasurer is appointed by the city council to oversee the City's financial responsibilities including:
- Supervises accounts payable and receivable
- Supervises municipal cash activity
- Supervises payroll
- Organizes warrants
- Assists in budget creation and monitoring
- Collection of taxes and sewer payments
